Senators Will Welcome Fans Again in March

The Ottawa Senators won’t be singing the blues about capacity limits in Ontario much longer.

Tuesday’s visit by the St. Louis Blues to the Canadian Tire Centre will be the last game with 500 people in the stands after Premier Doug Ford confirmed Monday the province will move to 50 per cent capacity limits for sporting events on Thursday.

It’s a big step in the right direction, but Ford also said as of March 1, all capacity limits in the province will be lifted at 18,652-seat facility as long as case counts continue to fall. Even if the province does hold off until March 14, the club is on the road from March 1 to March 8th.

The Senators will put seats for their 13 remaining home games in March and April on sale Tuesday morning.
