Finding a gym that’s the right fit

The YMCA/YWCA continues to be an affordable option with good facilities and a sliding scale option for those with limited incomes. GoodLife Fitness helps achieve your fitness goals easier and faster whether it be with Les Mills Group Exercise Classes, Boot Camps, Spinning, Personal Training or simply doing it on your own. With over 20 convenient locations across the Capital Region, you can be sure to find a GoodLife near you . For the more independently minded, there are a variety of smaller gyms that often specialize in a more personalized fitness regimen, from trainers to high end equipment and group classes. Movati Athletic is a relatively new and popular gym in the east end that is large and reasonably priced. Curves is a popular chain for women who prefer a women’s-only environment.

If spas are your thing, there’s a wealth of options throughout the city, many with hair and beauty services. Rinaldo is a well-known and reliable chain of spas that offers high-end services. Le Spa and BossArts are both excellent choices in the downtown core, and there are many other links to spas throughout Ottawa on our links tab. If a day’s getaway sounds tempting, you must visit Le Nordik in Chelsea, QC. And there’s a great spa for men in Sandy Hill called Bodé that should not be missed.
