Carrie Underwood to play Ottawa during upcoming tour

Grammy award-winning singer Carrie Underwood will be making a pit stop at the Canadian Tire Centre next June as part of the country artist’s new arena tour, The Cry Pretty Tour 360.

Underwood will kick off the tour on May 1, 2019, in Greensboro, N.C., and will perform in 55 arenas across the United States and Canada, with a stop in Ottawa on June 10. Underwood — who will be joined on tour by special guests Maddie & Tae and Runaway June — made the announcement Wednesday morning in a personal video to her fans, in which she also revealed that she is pregnant with her second child.

The 35-year-old country crooner married former Ottawa Senator Mike Fisher, 38, in 2010. They have a three-year-old son named Isaiah.

According to a release, Underwood’s new album, Cry Pretty, will be released Sept. 14. It will be her first studio album on Capitol Records Nashville and marks the first time she has co-produced her own album. The lead single and title track, Cry Pretty debuted as the No. 1 song in the U.S. among all-genres.
