Ron Perlman, Tom Felton among new stars announced for Ottawa Comiccon

The actors who played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter franchise, Hellboy in the eponymous series and Superman in Smallville will be guests of honour at Ottawa Comiccon at the EY Centre May 10-12.

Organizers announced the additions to the event Tuesday.

Ron Perlman was Vincent in the television series Beauty and the Beast, starred as the comic book anti-hero Hellboy in two films and portrayed Clarence “Clay” Morrow in the TV series Sons of Anarchy.

Tom Felton played the “ultimate bully” and the boy wizard’s rival and has since taken the lead in the first season of Murder in the First, played antagonist Julian Albert and alter-ego Doctor Alchemy in the third season of The Flash and starred in the YouTube Premium series Origin as Logan Maine.

Tom Welling was Clark Kent and the Man of Steel on the long-running television series Smallville and his feature film credits include Draft Day (2014) and Parkland (2014). He recently played Marcus Pierce in the third season of Lucifer.

Newly-announced featured guests include Amy Jo Johnson of Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers and Flashpoint, Ottawa native Tom Cavanagh of The Flash and Ed and Gina Torres of Firefly and Suits. Also featured is Joonas Suotamo, the Finnish basketball player who took on the role of Chewbacca starting with Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens.

The annual event, which attracts more than 40,000 attendees to celebrate pop culture, has already announced that The Princess Bride stars Cary Elwes, who played Westley, and Wallace Shawn, who played The Sicilian “Vizzini,” would attend.
